You can take several steps to maintain a healthy heart:

  • Don’t smoke.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
    • Eat healthy.
    • Reduce saturated fats.
    • Avoid processed foods.
  • Exercise regularly.
    • Stay active
    • Stay hydrated
    • Try to be physically active for 2 hours and 30 minutes a week.
  • Limit alcohol use.
  • Know your numbers.
    • High blood pressure
    • High cholesterol
    • Blood sugar
